I hope your Christmas plans are all coming together. It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just a week away!
It’s getting busy here and I wanted to be sure to put up a few pictures of my Christmas table. What do you have planned for your table?
I love to begin with beautiful linens and I found mine on clearance after Christmas the last few years. Shopping after a holiday is a wonderful way to build your linen closet and add some variety at a fraction of the cost.
Adding candles is another favorite of mine. I prefer for mine to be in hurricane votives, especially when I use raffia.
This votive was perfect and it’s actually recycled from a used Bath and Body Works candle. I really enjoy some of their holiday scents. When my B&B candles were at their end, I washed them and am reusing them.
My napkin rings are the taffeta flowers I made attached to grapevine wreaths. They look so pretty with the red napkins.
In the background you can see an Christmas countdown that I made over fifteen years ago. It’s become a cherished Christmas tradition in our family.
Because I always have our table decorated, we fill our plates buffet style in the kitchen around the island. We joked that maybe we eat *less* because we can’t pass it around easily for seconds. Who knew? A beautifully decorated table could actually be a diet help! ;)
I’d love to hear how you will decorate your table this Christmas. What colors and things do you like to use?
Merry Christmas!
Laurie
